Tofu Love Frogs

In 1989, long before the invention of the clippers and the hair brush, a group of squatters from Hackney started a folk club. This soon morphed into a band. Hours before their first performance, still with no name and no percussionist, they met Chris, who said he would play the percussion only if they performed under the name the “Tofu Love Frogs”, and so the band was born.
Chris “I will only play in a band if it’s called the Tofu Love Frogs”
Alex Roberts
ALEX ROBERTS blends genres from baroque to blues in a host of alternative tunings and with some fine lap-steel playing and stomp-boxing. His style is effortless while his technique is masterful and innovative. But it’s not just outstanding musicianship that drives him; what’s driving this artist is song. The timeless charm of his music is the perfect vehicle for Alex to present his lyrical musings. In the fashion of the troubadour, he crafts stories, love songs, ballads, spirituals, or protests into a mesmerising web of song.
Alex Roberts engages the listener with rapturous allure; the vocal lines ebb and flow around elegant guitar parts and the result is an uplifting and wholesome symbiosis of voice and instrument.
Cash Converted
He may be gone but his songs live on. Mark Carter-Cash has given up his job on the railway and taken over the baton to deliver that unique vocal and guitar style loved by country music fans everywhere. With Paul on lead, Tom on double bass, Toni Viagra on the drums and introducing the lovely June Carter on vocals and autoharp they produce a driving sound covering the rockabilly years of the 50’s right through to the melodic, soulful tunes of recent years. Cash is king, we all know that!

Hightown Crows
Jack Rabbit Blood
A dynamic live act that mixes the sounds of Robert Johnson through to the MC5, this is a power rawkin' blues duo from Dorset, they play with an edge that goes from raw delta blues, garagebilly, punk and sometimes diving into some deep moments that reminds us of Tom Waits. The whole thing is presented with a combustion of itchy rockin' slide guitar riffs, deep vocals, and stomp rocking drums. Jack Rabbit Blood music come's from the devil's gutbucket.
Language, Timothy!
"Just superb....A melange if you will of off-kilter acoustica, distorted disturbance, twisted cut-and-paste samples and stolen sounds ...File under Bonkers-But-Brilliant"
Gary Smith BBC Radio Bristol Introducing
"Language, Timothy! make me feel like I've wandered into a room at a house party and I should probably leave, but I’m drawn to them and guiltily enjoy their wonderfully “tickety-boo” performance."
Jo Daley The Fly Wessex
"a perfect mix of the weird, the wacky and the beautiful"
Tony Foster bh one
"Language, Timothy! could well be Bournemouth's best non-punk act"

State of Undress
State of Undress are a rocky rootsy 'fiddlesome' band from Dorset playing a distinctive brand of original music. Their guitar-based songs interlaced with violin in addition to drums and bass move from the thought-provoking and evocative to the shamelessly foot-tapping.
' ...Overflowing with spirit and a compelling energy ... a performance that marries verve, power and a lung-busting joie de vivre...the accompanying blend of roots-rock, country, Celtic flavourings and a full-bodied melodic musical assault creates a powerful live combination...'
